About this project:
Hawkins Construction were awarded the contract to build the new wing of Auckland North Shore Hospital. The new hospital is the DHB’s biggest expansion project since the construction of the main tower block in the early 1980s. Tōtara Haumaru will be a welcome extension to the existing services currently available at North Shore Hospital and will ensure the best possible care is available to those who live in the Waitematā district, which is expected to grow to a population of over 800,000 people by 2036/37.
FDG’s contribution
FDG was able to support a number of the contractors on the new North Shore Hospital site from HVAC, Plumbing and Ductwork to Mechanical Pipework.
With our main distribution center only 25 minutes away from the site – FDG’s delivery fleet made daily deliveries to keep the contractors moving and making.
Dealing with multiple contractors on the same site meant we could combine multiple deliveries in to one which streamlined the delivery process, enhancing efficiencies for both FDG and our customers.
